چکیده

As an important component of large engines, inter-shaft bearing is easily damaged due to its poor working conditions. By analyzing the time–frequency distribution rules fault signals and evolution law micro-faults, failure mechanism can be revealed, monitored in real time prevented advance. For purpose studying faults, a 4-DOF (degree freedom) dynamic model with local defects considering elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) proposed. Based on established model, impact characteristics are accurately simulated, micro-faults also analyzed. The effects different speeds, loads defect widths maximum value (MV), absolute mean (AMV), effective (EV), amplitude square root (AST), kurtosis factor (KF), impulse (IF), peak (PF) shape (SF) obtained. findings show that vibration increases increase size, faults easier diagnose accordingly. At same time, PF, KF IF very sensitive initial bearings. With development overall trend AMV, AST EV relatively stable. PF change rotating speeds widths. SF insensitive This lays foundation for research monitoring diagnosis methods aeroengine fault.

Modelling Cavitation in (Elasto)Hydrodynamic Lubrication

In this chapter we will present a derivation of a mathematical model describing how cavitation influences the pressure distribution in a thin lubricant film between two moving surfaces. The main idea in the derivation is to first describe the influence of cavitation on the mass flow and thereafter using a conservation law for the mass. This leads to a nonlinear system with two complementary var...

Transition from Boundary Lubrication to Hydrodynamic Lubrication of Slider Bearings

The transition from boundary lubrication to fully hydrodynamic lubrication is investigated for air-lubricated slider bearings using the electrical resistance method. Intermittent contacts are shown to exist even under conditions for which the numerical solution of the Reynolds equation or white light interferometry predicts steady state spacings in the spacing region from 0.125 to 0.25 pm. The ...

Biorthogonal wavelet-based full-approximation schemes for the numerical solution of elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication problems

Biorthogonal wavelet-based full-approximation schemes are introduced in this paper for the numerical solution of elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication line and point contact problems. The proposed methods give higher accuracy in terms of better convergence with low computational time, which have been demonstrated through the illustrative problems.

Modeling and control of rotating shaft with magnetic bearings

The paper presents control system for positioning of rotating shaft ends with magnetic bearings. Problem of identification and modelling is presented as well as control algorithms. The main difficulty of the control are disturbances caused by rotation (controlled by push-pull drivers) of the shaft. Weighted minimumvariance controller has been applied and compared with built-in PD controllers. T...

Thermo-elasto-hydrodynamic (TEHD) analysis of oil film lubrication in big end bearing of a diesel engine

Nowadays, due to the increasing power of diesel engines, especially heavy duty diesel engines, and increasing gas pressure inside the combustion chamber, the forces acting on the engine bearings have dramatically raised. On the other hand, becaus eof the competition in the market, it is necessary to increase the engine bearing life and reduce its failure as much as possible. The engine bearings...
